Anisa has been a part of the development sector since almost a decade and has experience in procuring funds and designing projects especially related to education technology, gender equality and youth development. Her areas of technical expertise also include training, advocacy and research.
She has been delivering training workshops to young people on soft skills, professional development, diversity and social inclusion since 2014. With her ability and experience to deliver impactful projects, Anisa has been actively engaged with the Together for Tolerance movement; especially focusing on designing and integrating diversity, inclusion and women empowerment modules in the program. She is also involved in securing other avenues to fund our development projects through proposal development and stakeholder coordination. Due to her interest and expertise in gender related issues, she designed and led a study on understanding meaningful participation of women in leadership roles for British Council.
In the past, she has worked with projects funded by USAID, DFID, UN-IOM, DAI and other international agencies for program development and coordination, especially with respect to human rights and sustainable development goals, in the areas of training, research and business development. She is currently consulting with different organizations (INGOs, CSOs etc.) providing quality review and direction to their advocacy, program development, research and innovation initiatives focusing on engaging young people, for peacebuilding, protecting girls from gender based violence and advocating for safeguarding of minorities, women and children.
Anisa went to Lahore University of Management Sciences where she earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology. She can fluently communicate in English, Urdu and Punjabi.
